How can the experiential spaces of museums an memorial sites be expanded into digital space? How can harrowing stories be told and communicated in the virtual realm? How can sensitive narratives be created here?
SPUR.lab meets this challenge. The project sees itself as a laboratory, an experimental space. Over four years, the project partners will work together and across institutions on prototypes for virtual narratives and mediation formats of contemporary history.
In addition to the know-how and media competence of the Film University, experts in residence will accompany and further develop the project with their expertise from 2021 onwards. These experts will come from science, technology and the arts.
A central pillar of the project is the transfer of knowledge. Here the Film University, with its scientific institutions and companies at the Media City in Potsdam, is a central partner.
